Bills Extend Kyle Williams

July 03, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Kyle Williams, NFL

Hello Bills fans. It has been reported by Adam Schefter of NFL Network that the Bills have signed defensive tackle Kyle Williams to an extension. It is said to be a three-year 14.5 million extension through 2012. This to me is a great signing because Williams is a tough nosed player that is getting better each year. The Bills are starting to sign their young talent so they can keep the majority of this team together. Congrats Kyle. Go Bills.

Bills Training Camp Preview

July 01, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  ESPN did a preview of the Bills upcoming training camp.  I was very suprised that they actually had some positive things to say about the team.  Usually ESPN bashes the Bills but in the case they feel that we are a team on the rise.  They basically state that if Trent Edwards does well as the starter this season, the team has a good shot at making the playoffs.  Check out the article on espn.com.  Go Bills.

Bills Sign Bell; Release Fullback Viti

July 01, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Darian Barnes, Demetrius Bell, Jason Peters, Jonathan Evans, Langston Walker, Mike Viti, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  Today the team announced that it has come to terms with seventh round draft pick  offensive tackle Demetrius Bell.  Bell is a developmental prospect said to have great hands and feet to play tackle in the NFL.  Bell is currently the fourth tackle on the roster.  The Bills will be able to bring him along slowly and have him learn from Jason Peters and Langston Walker.  The team also announced today that they have released fullback Mike Viti from Army.  Viti was third on the depth chart at fullback.  I really wanted him to make the team because I watched him play in college.  He was a great blocker and leader for Army Football.  It looks like the fullback job is between veterans Jonathan Evans and Darian Barnes.  I think Barnes has the edge to win the job due to more experience.  Check out the article on buffalobills.com.  Go Bills.

Jason Peters on Top 50 List

June 30, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Jason Peters, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  Pete Prisco of cbssports.com published his top 50 players in the nfl today.  Jason Peters was the only Buffalo Bills player on the list.  Prisco ranked Peters #27 and states that he is a young rising player that has a mean streak.  After making the Pro Bowl last season, many around the league have taken notice to Peters.  He is turning into a dominant left tackle that should be anchoring the Bills line for the next 10 years.  Peters needs to be paid right now and the team will make sure he is happy come training camp.

Goodell Sees Bills Staying Put

June 30, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated that he does not see the Bills ever leaving Buffalo for Toronto.  He stated that the team will use the additional revenue playing in Canada to remain in Buffalo.  This is a great sign that the Bills will remain in Buffalo even after owner Ralph Wilson passes on.  That is the major fear of many Bills fans because it has already been stated that Wilson’s family will sell the team.  Goodell also stated in the article that regionalization will help keep the team successful in Western New York.  Check out the article on NFL.com.  Go Commish, Go Bills.

Lynch Set To Plead Guilty

June 26, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Marshawn Lynch, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  Finally the day has come.  The Marshawn Lynch situation will hopefully be resolved tomorrow.  Lynch is scheduled in court tomorrow and will plead guilty to a traffic violation that will help him avoid a criminal charge.  I dont believe the league will suspend Lynch because of the charges at hand.  I hope this will put the entire situation behind us and let Lynch focus on football.  Check out the article on timesunion.com

Bills Sign Fine & Butler

June 25, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Brad Butler, Buffalo Bills, Derek Fine, Jason Peters, Langston Walker, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  The team announced that they have come to terms with fourth round pick Derek Fine.  Fine will compete for a backup spot at the tight end position.  He is an experienced special teams player and will contribute in that phase right away.  He isn’t the biggest guy but set records at Kansas for most receptions for a tight end.  I liked when the Bills picked Fine and feel he will contribute right away.

Shortly after the signing of Fine was announced, the team reach a contract extension with starting right guard Brad Butler.  Butler still had two years left on his rookie deal but showed last season that he can be a full-time starter on the offensive line.  The team did not release details of the contract but Im sure Butler will be getting a raise.  He started all 16 games last season after winning the position battle in training camp.  Butler showed me a lot last season.  He formed a strong tandem with right tackle Langston Walker.  If the Bills can sign Jason Peters to a long term deal, we will have four out of the five starters on the o-line locked up for a long time.  Go Bills.

Season Ticket Sales Continue To Grow

June 24, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, NFL

Hello Bills fans.  The team announced today that season ticket sales have topped the 53,000 mark.  This is the most sold since 1992.  There is only one game left with limited availability.  That is the game against the New England Patriots on December 28th.  Its amazing how there will be hardly any seats available when individual game tickets go on sale in July.  Check out the story on buffalobills.com.  Go Bills.
