Injury Report

September 03, 2008 By: Billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Derek Fine, Derek Schouman, John DiGiorgio, Matt Murphy, NFL No Comments →

Hello Bills fans.  Today the team announced its injury report for this weekends game against Seattle.  Tight end Derek Fine and offensive tackle/tight end Matt Murphy are the only two players listed.  Fine is definitely out with his thumb and Murphy will most likely miss this one due to the shoulder injury he suffered a few weeks back.  Tight end Derek Schouman and linebacker John DiGiorgio practiced and will be available for Sundays game.  The Seattle Seahawks also released their injury report.  Wide receiver Bobby Engram is out and Deion Branch and Lofa Tatupu were limited in practice.  If Branch is out, the Seahawks are going to be short handed at the wide receiver position.  If the defense can stop the run, the Seahawks will be in trouble.  Go Bills.

Bills Sign Lineman; Team Back In Buffalo

August 21, 2008 By: Billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Derek Schouman, Dick Jauron, James Hardy, Jason Jones, Jason Peters, John DiGiorgio, Matt Murphy, NFL, Roscoe Parrish, Trent Edwards No Comments →

Hello Bills fans.  With Jason Peters still holding out, the team signed offensive lineman Dustin Dickinson and released receiver Jason Jones.  Dickinson was a rookie free agent that was released by Seattle on June 25.  He will most likely play tackle due to an injury to Matt Murphy.  The team was back in Orchard Park today.  Trent Edwards was not participating due to injury suffered Tuesday night.  James Hardy, Roscoe Parrish, Derek Schouman and John DiGiorgio were also sidelined.  Coach Dick Jauron also stated that the starters will play at least the first half maybe more this coming Sunday against the Colts.  I hope Trent can play but it doesnt seem likely because the season is two weeks away.  I would rather him heal up and be ready to go on September 7.  Go Bills.

Bills Future Looks Bright

December 17, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Fred Jackson, George Wilson, Jabari Greer, Jim Leonhard, John DiGiorgio, Marshawn Lynch, NFL, Trent Edwards No Comments →

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans. Maybe I am an optimist by nature but I feel that the Bills will be a playoff team in 08. Although Trent Edwards struggled yesterday, he gives us the best chance to win. He will only get better with more experience and I believe we have our quarterback of the future. We have a future all-pro at running back in Marshawn Lynch. Lynch has showed flashes of greatness this year with his non-stop motor and his fight for every last yard. Lynch will also only get better with more game experience. Our offensive line has started to play well and will continue to get better with time. Many of our young players that were forced into starting roles this year will provide excellent depth when we are fully healthy next year. Linebacker John DiGiorgio, safety George Wilson, running back Fred Jackson and safety Jim Leonhard have contributed and shown that they can play in this league. Cornerback Jabari Greer has displayed great instincts and has basically earned the starting cornerback job moving forward. Even though my hopes and dreams of the playoffs were crushed yesterday, I am thankful that this team never gave up and put themselves in a position to earn a wild card spot. Trent will lead this team and get us to where we want to go. A few additions via the draft and free agency will only make us better. Our defense is very young and came up big for us this year. We have the talent and with more experience will be a playoff team. Thanks for never giving up this year. Go Bills.

John DiGiorgio Is The Man

November 02, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Angelo Crowell, Buffalo Bills, John DiGiorgio, Keith Ellison, NFL, Paul Posluszny No Comments →

billslogo.jpgjohn-digiorgio.jpgHello Bills Fans. All I have to say is that I really like the way John DiGiorgio plays football. He seems to always be around the ball. He never misses a tackle and his speed allows him to get to the outside in a hurry. He has 52 total tackles so far this season and he didn’t play until Paul Posluzsny went down in week three. He also has one sack, one interception, and one fumble recovery. It seems that every game he is always making a play. Whether it be corralling a running back or stopping a receiver from getting a first down, DiGiorgio is turning into a playmaker. I’m not going to anoint him a pro bowler just yet. I have to say that I’m very impressed with the way he plays the game. He is an undersized middle linebacker but makes up for that with his hustle and desire. It also helps that he is playing next to in my opinion one of the most underrated linebackers in the league. Angelo Crowell gets better and better every game. He, Keith Ellison and DiGiorgio make a great linebacker trio. When Poz went down, I was really upset. He was becoming one of my favorites on this team. I didn’t know what to think about DiGiorgio at first. I only saw him play on special teams last season and during the preseason this year. I’m turning into a DiGiorgio fan because I feel that this is a player with a little more experience can be an all-star. Thanks DiGiorgio. Lets get them Bengals.

Final Game 7: Bills 13 Jets 3

October 28, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Aaron Schobel, Angelo Crowell, Anthony Hargrove, Buffalo Bills, Chris Kelsay, J.P. Losman, Jabari Greer, John DiGiorgio, John McCargo, John Wendling, Kyle Williams, Lee Evans, NFL, Roscoe Parrish, Terrence McGee, Trent Edwards No Comments →

john-digiorgio.jpglosman_jp2.jpglee-evans.jpgHello Bills fans. The Buffalo Bills defeated the Jets today 13-3. Trent Edwards started the game and went 14-21 for 130 yards and one interception. He left the game at the end of the third quarter with a wrist injury. J.P. Losman came off the bench and went 3-5 for 113 yards and a touchdown. His 85-yard bomb to Lee Evans put the Bills ahead to stay. He also threw a bomb to Roscoe Parrish that was on the money but Parrish couldn’t hold on. Losman came in and drove the team to two scoring drives. Marshawn Lynch had 21 carries for 80 yards. As always all of his yards were hard fought. The offense was really sluggish today until the 4th quarter. We had a great opening drive that lasted over ten minutes but couldn’t put the ball in the endzone. Rian Lindell was perfect on the day going 2 for 2 on field goals. The defense had another tremendous game. What can I say, it just seems that we are getting better and better on the defensive side. Aaron Schobel had a sack and two forced fumbles. John DiGiorgio led the team with 13 tackles. Kyle Williams and John McCargo contributed with some great tackles. Angelo Crowell had a big sack knocking the Jets out of field goal range. Anthony Hargrove and Chris Kelsay had solid games applying pressure on Pennington. Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell really has these guys playing hard. Terrence McGee and Jabari Greer held Coles and Cotchery in check. Our special teams also played great. Our punt and kickoff coverage was phenomenal. John Wendling had two special teams tackles. I was very nervous during this game because it was close up until Evans touchdown. Our young team is finding ways to win close games. Something that was a tough task only a few weeks ago. Lets Go Bills. Thanks for the win

Defense Impressive in Win over Ravens

October 22, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Angelo Crowell, Anthony Hargrove, Buffalo Bills, Chris Kelsay, Donte Whitner, Jabari Greer, John DiGiorgio, John McCargo, Kyle Williams, NFL, Terrence McGee No Comments →

john-digiorgio.jpghargrove.jpgHello Bills fans. Still flying high after our win yesterday. Mondays are so much better after a win. One thing I have to say is I love the way the defense is playing. Angelo Crowell was all over the field yesterday. He led the team in tackles and had a big forced fumble in the first half. It also seems that middle linebacker John DiGiorgio is developing into a real good player. He has tremendous speed and seems to always be around the ball. DiGiorgio shows that he belongs out there and plays hard every snap. Anthony Hargrove is another player that has sparked this defense. Since coming back from his suspension, he has been a relentless pass rusher and just seems to fire everyone up. I really like the way our young defensive tackles are playing. Both Kyle Williams and John McCargo had tackles for loss yesterday and show they can get into the backfield. McCargo is showing why the Bills traded up to get him in the first round in 2006. Jabari Greer is also another player that has stepped up his game and contributes every week. Greer and Terrence McGee give the Bills two corners with great closing speed. There are both very aggressive and really good tacklers. Donte Whitner is also playing well. He has really impressed me with his toughness against the run and his ability to help the corners out in coverage. Credit also has to be given to defensive coordinator Perry Fewell. He has really developed great game plans even though he is missing some of his starters. The only thing that concerns me is that Chris Kelsay injured his ankle yesterday. It was not said how serious the injury was but we cannot afford to lose another defensive starter. This defense seems destined to show everyone that they are no pushovers. Lets go Bills. Bring home another victory.

Final Game 6: Bills 19 Ravens 14

October 21, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Angelo Crowell, Anthony Hargrove, Buffalo Bills, Jabari Greer, John DiGiorgio, John McCargo, Lee Evans, Marshawn Lynch, NFL, Terrence McGee, Trent Edwards No Comments →

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans. What can I say? Great win for the Bills but I was at the edge of my seat for the last seven minutes of the game. I know a win is a win but I would like to put a team away when we have the chance to do so. I was again impressed by the play of Trent Edwards. His final numbers weren’t that great 11 of 21 for 153 yards and one interception, but he managed to bring home the victory. The only mistake he made was the interception in the 4th quarter that setup a touchdown by the Ravens making the score 19-14. Marshawn Lynch ran hard and ended the game with 27 carries for 84 yards and one score. The offensive line had a tough day opening holes for Lynch. Lee Evans had a great game catching 5 passes for 98 yards and his 54-yard reception setup our only touchdown on the day. We did have plenty of chances to get in the endzone but came away settling for field goals. Rian Lindell was perfect on the day making all four of his field goal attempts. Our defense once again played great. They held the Ravens in check most of the day and forced them into some 3rd and long situations. The defense also stopped the Ravens on a crucial 4th down at the end of the game to basically seal the win. I have to give credit to Anthony Hargrove, John McCargo, Angelo Crowell, Jabari Greer and Terrence McGee. We didn’t give up any big plays through the air and forced Kyle Boller to rush a few of his passes. I just wish that our offense could score more touchdowns. We need to get our receivers involved more and stop being ultra conservative when in the red zone. I have to give credit to our coaches today because our offense was able to move the ball at times against a real good Ravens defense. I really like how our young defense is coming along despite injuries to key players. McCargo is really playing well along with John DiGiorgio and Anthony Hargrove. I hope the team carries this momentum into next week’s game. Thanks for the win. Lets Go Bills.

Monday Night Madness in Buffalo

October 10, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Angelo Crowell, Buffalo Bills, Chris Kelsay, George Wilson, Jabari Greer, John DiGiorgio, NFL, Terrence McGee, Trent Edwards No Comments →

Hello Bills fans. What can I say; we put up a great fight but came up short in losing to Dallas 25-24. I enjoyed every minute of this one except for the last 20 seconds of the game. It was great being at the Ralph for this one. I think I must have stood the entire game. Big play after big play by the defense kept the crowd involved the entire game. All the Bills needed to do was to come up with one last play and they just came up short. I’m so glad that I was at this game. Tailgating amongst crazy Bills fans was awesome. I feel bad for the defense because they played their hearts out. George Wilson, Chris Kelsay, Angelo Crowell, John DiGiorgio and Jabari Greer all had interceptions. Wilson returned an interception in the first quarter, which sent the crowd into an uproar. I lost my voice after the first 10 minutes of the game. Kelsay made a great play in the second quarter by tipping a Tony Romo pass right to himself in the endzone. It just seemed as if every time Dallas started to creep back, our defense would come up with an interception. In the third quarter, Terrence McGee took the kickoff back 103 yards. McGee is one of the best kick returners in the league. The crowd again erupted and the Bills were up 24-13. Dallas kicked a field goal early in the 4th quarter to make it a 24-16 game. The Bills had their chances to put this one away. We drove down to the 11 but Trent Edwards threw an interception. A field goal there would have made it an 11-point game again. Instead Dallas had new life. DiGiorgio came up with an interception on the Cowboys drive and the Bills could have sealed it again. Dallas ended up scoring a touchdown with 20 seconds left in the game to make it 24-22. They went for a two-point conversion to tie the game up. Jabari Greer came up with a huge play ripping the ball out of Terrell Owens hands in the endzone. All the Bills had to do now was cover the onside kick. Dallas made a great play on the onside kick and recovered the ball. The Cowboys kicked the game winning 53-yard field goal with no time left. Another heart breaking loss for the Bills. I just wish the offense could have stepped up a little bit and seal the win for the defense. The Bills defense played one of the best games that I have ever seen them play. Anytime you can force six turnovers, you should come out of the game victorious. Even though the team lost, I loved the effort against a real good Dallas team.
All I have to say is that we gave up this game. We should have won this one. It hurts that we had a dominating performance from our defense. Our special teams played great and just needed to recover the onside kick. This one will be hard to forget. Although I had a great time in Buffalo, I just wish the Bills had won. It was great being at the game with friends and enjoying every minute of Monday Night Football. Buffalo is a great place and I look forward to going back as I do every year. Lets Go Bills. Hopefully this was a breaking out game for our defense

Bills Make Roster Moves

September 26, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Aaron Merz, Angelo Crowell, Buffalo Bills, Duke Preston, Jason Webster, Jason Whittle, John DiGiorgio, Josh Scobey, Keith Ellison, Kevin Everett, Kevin Harrison, Kirk Chambers, Ko Simpson, Nevin McCaskill, Paul Posluszny No Comments →

Hello Bills fans. The Bills have made a few roster moves today. They have placed backup offensive lineman Jason Whittle on injured reserve. To take Whittles place on the roster, linebacker Kevin Harrison was signed. Harrison spent most of last year on the practice squad. He was released during the final cuts in September. He will most likely play special teams because of the release of Josh Scobey. The Bills have also signed defensive tackle Orien Harris to the practice squad. To make room for him, they released offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill. Look for the Bills to add another offensive lineman to the roster. The only reserves we have healthy are Duke Preston and Kirk Chambers. I still can’t believe how many players we have put on IR this season. The list continues to grow. Whittle joins Ko Simpson, Jason Webster, Al Wallace, Paul Posluszny, Kevin Everett, and Aaron Merz. I can’t believe we are only going into week four. With all of the injuries we have, I would think it was the end of December. In other news it looks like newly signed linebacker Leon Joe will get the start on the outside. John DiGiorgio will take over the middle and Angelo Crowell will be on the other outside position. I don’t know about you but I cant wait for Keith Ellison to come back. He might be back for the Dallas game. He was jogging today in practice and hopefully he can be ready for next week. We could really use all the help we can get. Lets Go Bills

Posluszny Placed on Injured Reserve, Nall signed

September 24, 2007 By: Billy5407 Category: Buffalo Bills, Craig Nall, J.P. Losman, Jason Webster, John DiGiorgio, Keith Ellison, Ko Simpson, NFL, Paul Posluszny, Terrence McGee No Comments →

PlayerWell Bills fans, we lost another defensive starter for the year. The Bills today announced that they have placed Paul Posluszny on injured reserve. This to me is really heartbreaking because Poz is a terrific player and he only got to play in three games in his rookie season. This was going to be a year where he would learn the ropes of the NFL game and improve each and every week. He was already turning into a tackling machine and was only going to get better. This really pisses me off. How can we lose so many guys in only three games? Poz joins starting cornerback Jason Webster and starting safety Ko Simpson on injured reserve. The Bills have now lost five defensive starters in all. Keith Ellison is still nursing a high ankle sprain and Terrence McGee did not play last week due to a rib injury. John DiGiorgio had a nice game filling in for Poz. He recorded 12 tackles and ½ sack. It’s a damn shame to lose a player like Poz. Lets hope he gets well soon. The Bills today have also announced the re-signing of quarterback Craig Nall. The Bills had to sign a qb because Losman will be out two weeks. The Bills cut Nall before the season and only kept two qbs on the roster. It’s nice to have a quarterback that knows the system. Nall spent last season on the roster but did not see any action during the season. Lets hope Trent Edwards has a great game this week against the Jets. Lets Go Buffalo. Get well soon Poz.
