Hello Bills fans. The Bills have made a few roster moves today. They have placed backup offensive lineman Jason Whittle on injured reserve. To take Whittles place on the roster, linebacker Kevin Harrison was signed. Harrison spent most of last year on the practice squad. He was released during the final cuts in September. He will most likely play special teams because of the release of Josh Scobey. The Bills have also signed defensive tackle Orien Harris to the practice squad. To make room for him, they released offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill. Look for the Bills to add another offensive lineman to the roster. The only reserves we have healthy are Duke Preston and Kirk Chambers. I still can’t believe how many players we have put on IR this season. The list continues to grow. Whittle joins Ko Simpson, Jason Webster, Al Wallace, Paul Posluszny, Kevin Everett, and Aaron Merz. I can’t believe we are only going into week four. With all of the injuries we have, I would think it was the end of December. In other news it looks like newly signed linebacker Leon Joe will get the start on the outside. John DiGiorgio will take over the middle and Angelo Crowell will be on the other outside position. I don’t know about you but I cant wait for Keith Ellison to come back. He might be back for the Dallas game. He was jogging today in practice and hopefully he can be ready for next week. We could really use all the help we can get. Lets Go Bills

Today the Buffalo Bills announced that offensive lineman Aaron Merz was placed on the injured reserve ending his season. Merz has missed a lot of practice time with a shoulder injury. I’m curious to see who the backup offensive lineman will be. The team usually keeps nine on the roster. The projected starters are Jason Peters at left tackle, Derrick Dockery at left guard, Melvin Fowler at center, Jason Whittle or Duke Preston at right guard, and Langston Walker at right tackle. The projected backups at this point are lets say Preston because I think Whittle will end up starting, Terrance Pennington, Brad Butler, and either Nevin McCaskill, Corey Davis, Christian Gaddis, or Kirk Chambers. I guess Chambers has the best shot out of the four remaining. I for one hope the starters stay healthy. Besides Pennington, the rest do not have much experience if any at all. Lets hope and pray that are main guys are in there the whole season. Butler has had injury problems going back to last year. He is said to have a lot of potential but cannot seem to stay healthy. Gaddis, Davis and McCaskill are all rookie free agents. One of them might be added to the practice squad. Chambers has the best shot because he has more NFL experience than the previous three mentioned. Lets go O-line, please protect JP and pave the way for Marshawn. Lets Go Bills.

I’m curious to see how the re-tooled offensive line plays this season. This year there aren’t many position battles in training camp. Right guard and middle linebacker are the main ones. At right guard, the Bills are trying out Duke Preston and Jason Whittle. Duke seems like a good fit but with Melvin Fowler injured, he has moved over to center. He did have a terrible shotgun snap on Friday but I believe he will do fine there. Jason Whittle has been around for a while and I do like him next to Langston Walker. Derrick Dockery and Jason Peters form a very strong left side that I’m sure Marshawn Lynch will benefit from. Lets hope the o-line comes together and gives J.P. Losman enough time to hit Lee Evans deep. We will have to wait and see how this turns out. At middle linebacker, the Bills currently have John DiGiorgio as the starter. I do think he is a quality depth guy but would love to see Paul Posluszny take control of the position. He has all the tools to lead the defense in his rookie year. Lets Go Bills and hopefully our new o-line and middle linebacker will take us to the playoffs.
