Hello Bills fans. The team announced today that running back Anthony Thomas, linebacker Coy Wire, cornerback Jerametrius Butler and offensive lineman Aaron Merz have been released. With the emergence of Fred Jackson, A-trains days were numbered. He looked old last year and ended the season on injured reserve. Butler was a fill in after what it seemed like our whole secondary got injured. Merz missed all of last season due to shoulder surgery and would have only been a backup going into the 08 season. The one cut that surprised me was Coy Wire. I really liked the way Coy played and he was developing into a great backup linebacker. He was also a special teams demon but it was said that he failed his physical. He was trying to make a comeback after having neck surgery and it looks like he will have a tough time signing with another team. I’m starting to get excited for free agency. It looks like the Bills are trying to clear more cap space by releasing these four players. Lets hope Friday is a good day for this franchise. Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. There was a few roster moves made today at One Bills drive. Running back Anthony Thomas was placed on injured reserve. He is the thirteenth player to go on IR this season. Taking his place on the roster is linebacker Leon Joe. Joe rejoins the team after being released a few weeks ago. The Bills have also re-signed running back Shaud Williams and released tight end Brad Cieslak. Williams was released prior to the start of the season. Hopefully he can contribute on special teams. Coach Jauron is optimistic that Marshawn Lynch will be able to play this week. I would assume that he would not be getting a full workload. Look for Fred Jackson to get the majority of the carries this week. I like the idea of having Lynch and Jackson as a one two punch. We should hopefully be able to run the ball this Sunday. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. This Sunday the Buffalo Bills travel to FedEx field to take on the Washington Redskins. This is a must win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Redskins are playing with heavy hearts due to the death of Sean Taylor. This is going to be an extremely tough game because the skins are going to want this one for their fallen teammate. Here are the key matchups to this week’s game.
Trent Edwards vs. Redskins defense: Rookie quarterback Trent Edwards will start this week in place of J.P. Losman. It looks like its now Edwards job to lose. Trent must be smart with the football this week. For the Bills to win this one, he has to be accurate and poised in the pocket. Look for Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish to have big games. Edwards is great at leading his receivers and allowing them to get yards after the catch. I would love to see Lee Evans have a breakout game. Edwards will look to Evans to get the offense rolling.
Clinton Portis vs. Bills Defense. This is going to be a tough task for the Bills. Starting defensive end Chris Kelsay is out this week. Anthony Hargrove and Ryan Denney must fill in and be effective in run support. The defense cannot let Portis outside and must contain him to win this game. It seems like we haven’t had a fumble recovery in forever. I would like to see John McCargo bust up a running play and force a fumble. Look for the Bills to put eight guys at the line of scrimmage to minimize Portis in the run game.
This is a very winnable game for the Bills. The Redskins come into the game with the same record and have struggled at times. The main thing is our offense must move the ball and score touchdowns instead of settling for field goals. Trent must lead this team and find a win to get a win. I do feel that running back Fred Jackson will do well in place of A-Train. My prediction…..Bills 24 Redskins 20

Hello Bills fans. It was announced today that Anthony Thomas has a torn calf muscle and is out indefinitely. Does this mean we get to see Fred Jackson as our starting tailback? I think so Bills fans. Jackson was impressive in the preseason and has looked good in limited time the last two weeks. He converted a big fourth down last week with his ability to break tackles and keep the legs driving. His running style kind of reminds me of Marshawn Lynch. Both backs are not big but break tackles and fight for every last inch. If Jackson does get the start, look for Trent Edwards to get him the ball in the passing game to move the chains. I think Jackson is going to do a great job but would still love to have Lynch out there. A-Train has been a great blocker for us this season and I think the Bills should use him as a fullback in the future. Rookie Dwayne Wright will get some carries but Jackson will have the full workload. Good luck Fred. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. Many players missed practice today most notably Chris Kelsay and Anthony Thomas. Kelsay injured his ankle last week and was seen at practice with a boot on. Thomas strained his calf and Coach Jauron said he is not optimistic that A-Train will play. Marshawn Lynch is doing better but will most likely be kept out for the third consecutive week. The Bills do not want to rush him back because a high ankle sprain needs time to recover. I hope Lynch comes back next week because our offense has really sputtered without him. It will hurt not having Kelsay out there. He is an important part of our defensive end rotation. Ryan Denney was also banged up last week but should be able to play. He took a blow to the same foot he broke in the preseason. If Denney cannot go, we will be severely short handed at defensive end. Aaron Schobel and Anthony Hargrove are the only ends with experience. I hope Denney can go this week. If A-train cannot play, look for Fred Jackson to get the start. I’m excited to see what Jackson can do with a full workload. I have been impressed with his play so far and liked him a lot during the preseason. I hope we can get him going early against the Skins this weekend. Get well soon guys. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. Well all I can say is that the J.P. Losman era might officially be over. Although he was not the only one to blame for this 22-point loss to Jacksonville, he did make many mistakes. His two interceptions and one fumble were all drive killers. Both interceptions were forced throws into double and triple coverage. With the Bills trailing 13-7 in the second quarter, Losman fumbled on a third and one play with a little over two minutes remaining. This proved to be a costly turnover because the Bills were driving and could have got into field goal range or even scored a touchdown. The fumble led to a Jacksonville field goal giving them a 16-7 lead going into the half. If we could have gotten even a field goal and went into the half only down by three, it would have been a whole different ball game. Losman looked scared in the pocket and kept on dumping the ball off to Anthony Thomas. I have no problem with doing that to gain yards but at some point you have to take your shots down the field. Lee Evans was held without a catch until garbage time in the fourth quarter. Offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild has to find a way to get Evans more involved if this team wants to succeed. He is our best receiver and needs to be thrown to more than a few times a game. It also extremely hurts that Marshawn Lynch is injured. He was our whole offense for the first nine games of the season. The A-train is not cutting it. He did make a nice play on his first career-receiving touchdown. I hope Lynch is ready when we take on Washington next week. Now on to the defense. The Bills really need to change things up here. Our defensive line cannot get to the quarterback. They also can’t get off of the field on third downs. We allow way to many third down conversions. I also think a change needs to be made in the secondary. George Wilson is not cutting it at free safety. I know that we have a lot of injuries but he seems to be out of position and doesn’t have the speed to recover. David Garrad had all the time in the world and nearly threw for 300 yards. The only positive today from the defense was that they held Jacksonville without a touchdown in the red zone. We had many chances today to get back into the game but Losman and the offense couldn’t deliver. I was a really big Losman supporter and wanted to see him as our starting quarterback. I am now saying that I want to see Trent Edwards for the rest of the season. I know what Losman has and he is not consistent enough to be a starter in this league. He has all the physical tools but plays scared and doesn’t see the field well. Well another disappointing game and at 5-6 the playoffs seem almost out of reach.

Hello Bills fans. For the second straight week Marshawn Lynch will not play. Anthony Thomas will get the start and Dwayne Wright will be the backup. I would really love to see the Bills give Fred Jackson a chance. Jackson has the speed and elusiveness to pickup some big gains. Hopefully we can run the ball this week against a tough Jacksonville defense.
J.P. Losman will make his fourth straight start. He is looking to rebound from last week’s shaky performance. Look for Losman to air it out in this game because he knows the team needs this win and his job is on the line. I hope he has a great game because I feel that he gives us the best chance to win down the stretch. Losman just needs to improve his accuracy and decision-making. Many experts feel that Trent Edwards has a greater upside than Losman. Although I do like Trent a lot, he is still a rookie and will go through some growing pains. I just want this team to decide on a quarterback and go with it. Lets play to J.P’s strengths and launch the ball to Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish.
Roscoe Parrish needs to be used more in this offense. Although he is undersized, Parrish makes up for it with his quickness and elusiveness. It almost seems that there is a chance that every time he touches the ball he can go the distance. I want to see the Bills run some end arounds and quick slants to Roscoe. He deserves to have the ball in his hands more. Using Roscoe will open up some big plays for Lee Evans and Josh Reed.
The offensive line must have a strong game this week both in pass protection and run blocking. The Jaguars have a very strong defensive line that does not give up yards on the ground. Our offensive line must give Losman time to throw the ball and try to get some push so A-train has some holes to run through. This is going to be a tough task for the big guys. Lets Go Bills. Beat the Jaguars.

Hello Bills fans. Coach Dick Jauron announced today that Marshawn Lynch has a high ankle sprain. He will most likely be out again this week against Jacksonville. Without Lynch we don’t have a running game. He brings to so much this team and in my opinion is the heart and soul of the offense. Anthony Thomas is a good backup but cannot carry the full load. We need Lynch back as soon as possible. Coach also stated that Marshawn wanted to play last week. I just want him to get healthy because we desperately need him out there. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. I am embarrassed to put the final score as the title. Losing by 46 points at home is just pathetic. I watched the entire game and was thinking to myself is New England really this good. I mean I know they have dominated almost everyone they played but we were home and coming off four straight wins. I couldn’t understand where that intense defense was. It seemed that everyone took the night off. The only highlight of the night was J.P. Losman hitting Roscoe Parrish with a 47-yard bomb to bring the Bills within a touchdown. That was quickly erased when the Pats marched down the field to make it a 14-point game. Our defense couldn’t get off the field on third downs and let Brady pass at will. He had all the time in the world to sit back and find Moss. It was a very frustrating game to watch. Our offense played scared and our defense look defeated after the first quarter. It might have not made a difference but Marshawn Lynch was extremely missed. It was almost like we went into this game knowing we were going to lose. I put some of the blame on the entire coaching staff. Losman threw a pick on the first drive setting the Pats up with great field position. You cannot give teams like New England those opportunities. We started off the game with a great pass for a first down and then it all fell apart. Anthony Thomas started for Marshawn Lynch and didn’t fare to well. His best run of the night was called back due to the extra lineman the Bills put in not declaring himself an eligible receiver. Whatever could go wrong went wrong in this game. I really thought this team was going to put up a fight and keep this one close. I like every other Bills fan was dead wrong. I always thought that losing a close game was worse because you always feel that your team will pull it out. A blowout loss is just as bad if not worse because the game is not enjoyable. I love the Bills and hope this loss makes the team work even harder. As a die-hard fan, I hate to see the Bills lose. My Monday was miserable not only because of the game but everyone I know bringing it up. Hopefully Coach Jauron will get this team to forget about this game and look forward to beating Jacksonville. We are still in this one. We need to start a new winning streak this coming Sunday. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. With Marshawn Lynch likely out this week, the Bills might use three different backs during this game. I believe that Dwayne Wright, Anthony Thomas and Fred Jackson can all contribute this week. Wright is more of the power back that will grind out those extra yards. Fred Jackson is a speedier back that can slash and get to the outside. Anthony Thomas is great at pass blocking and catching the ball. It seems that if we put all three of those backs skills together we get Lynch. Lynch can do it all and will be extremely missed this weekend. Lets hope that Wright can wear down the defense. I would really like to see what Jackson has. I liked the way he looked during the preseason and was happy when he made the final roster. He is been inactive most of the season. I know that when he gets on the field he will give his all. I like all three backs but will miss seeing Lynch out there. Lynch has become one of my favorite players on the team. He fights for every last inch and almost always breaks the first tackle. I hope he gets healthy real soon. Lets Go Bills.
