Hello Bills fans. This Sunday, the Buffalo Bills travel to the Meadowlands to take on the Jets. Rookie quarterback Trent Edwards will make his fourth start of the season. Edwards faced the Jets in week four and had an impressive game. Hopefully he can do it again and lead the Bills to victory. Here are the key matchups to this week’s game.
Trent Edwards vs. Jets Secondary: The Jets defense has given up a lot of yards and will be without their best player Jonathan Vilma. Edwards should have enough time to throw the ball against the Jets defense. Hopefully Lee Evans can have a big game and catch a couple of long balls from Edwards. Look for Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish to have plenty of receptions in this one. I feel that if our o-line can protect Trent, we should be able to move the ball threw the air.
Thomas Jones vs. Bills defense: The Bills defensive line needs to keep Jones under 100 yards. If we can stop the run, it will force Chad Pennington to air it out. Our defensive backs might have a few interceptions if our d-line can get some pressure on Pennington. Look for Aaron Schobel to have a big game. I’m going to say that Schobel will have two sacks in this one. I also feel that our defense has come a long way. We have speedy linebackers that can fly to the ball. Angelo Crowell will be making tackles all over the field.
Marshawn Lynch vs. Jets run defense: This game is a perfect opportunity for Lynch to get his first 100-yard game. The Bills will give Lynch the ball early and often and I’m hoping he can bust open for a big gain. Our offensive line needs to control the line of scrimmage and open some holes for Lynch. I also believe that Lynch will play a big part in the passing game. Lynch is due for a big game and this could be the week he gets it. I’m going to predict 28 carries for 128 and two tds.
This is a game the Bills need to win. If we play like we did last week we will come out victorious. Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch will have big games and our defense will hopefully create some turnovers. I’m also hoping to see a big game from Lee Evans. My prediction is Bills 23 Jets 10. Lets Go Bills. Bring home a victory.

Hello Bills fans. Still flying high after our win yesterday. Mondays are so much better after a win. One thing I have to say is I love the way the defense is playing. Angelo Crowell was all over the field yesterday. He led the team in tackles and had a big forced fumble in the first half. It also seems that middle linebacker John DiGiorgio is developing into a real good player. He has tremendous speed and seems to always be around the ball. DiGiorgio shows that he belongs out there and plays hard every snap. Anthony Hargrove is another player that has sparked this defense. Since coming back from his suspension, he has been a relentless pass rusher and just seems to fire everyone up. I really like the way our young defensive tackles are playing. Both Kyle Williams and John McCargo had tackles for loss yesterday and show they can get into the backfield. McCargo is showing why the Bills traded up to get him in the first round in 2006. Jabari Greer is also another player that has stepped up his game and contributes every week. Greer and Terrence McGee give the Bills two corners with great closing speed. There are both very aggressive and really good tacklers. Donte Whitner is also playing well. He has really impressed me with his toughness against the run and his ability to help the corners out in coverage. Credit also has to be given to defensive coordinator Perry Fewell. He has really developed great game plans even though he is missing some of his starters. The only thing that concerns me is that Chris Kelsay injured his ankle yesterday. It was not said how serious the injury was but we cannot afford to lose another defensive starter. This defense seems destined to show everyone that they are no pushovers. Lets go Bills. Bring home another victory.

Hello Bills fans. What can I say? Great win for the Bills but I was at the edge of my seat for the last seven minutes of the game. I know a win is a win but I would like to put a team away when we have the chance to do so. I was again impressed by the play of Trent Edwards. His final numbers weren’t that great 11 of 21 for 153 yards and one interception, but he managed to bring home the victory. The only mistake he made was the interception in the 4th quarter that setup a touchdown by the Ravens making the score 19-14. Marshawn Lynch ran hard and ended the game with 27 carries for 84 yards and one score. The offensive line had a tough day opening holes for Lynch. Lee Evans had a great game catching 5 passes for 98 yards and his 54-yard reception setup our only touchdown on the day. We did have plenty of chances to get in the endzone but came away settling for field goals. Rian Lindell was perfect on the day making all four of his field goal attempts. Our defense once again played great. They held the Ravens in check most of the day and forced them into some 3rd and long situations. The defense also stopped the Ravens on a crucial 4th down at the end of the game to basically seal the win. I have to give credit to Anthony Hargrove, John McCargo, Angelo Crowell, Jabari Greer and Terrence McGee. We didn’t give up any big plays through the air and forced Kyle Boller to rush a few of his passes. I just wish that our offense could score more touchdowns. We need to get our receivers involved more and stop being ultra conservative when in the red zone. I have to give credit to our coaches today because our offense was able to move the ball at times against a real good Ravens defense. I really like how our young defense is coming along despite injuries to key players. McCargo is really playing well along with John DiGiorgio and Anthony Hargrove. I hope the team carries this momentum into next week’s game. Thanks for the win. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. What can I say; we put up a great fight but came up short in losing to Dallas 25-24. I enjoyed every minute of this one except for the last 20 seconds of the game. It was great being at the Ralph for this one. I think I must have stood the entire game. Big play after big play by the defense kept the crowd involved the entire game. All the Bills needed to do was to come up with one last play and they just came up short. I’m so glad that I was at this game. Tailgating amongst crazy Bills fans was awesome. I feel bad for the defense because they played their hearts out. George Wilson, Chris Kelsay, Angelo Crowell, John DiGiorgio and Jabari Greer all had interceptions. Wilson returned an interception in the first quarter, which sent the crowd into an uproar. I lost my voice after the first 10 minutes of the game. Kelsay made a great play in the second quarter by tipping a Tony Romo pass right to himself in the endzone. It just seemed as if every time Dallas started to creep back, our defense would come up with an interception. In the third quarter, Terrence McGee took the kickoff back 103 yards. McGee is one of the best kick returners in the league. The crowd again erupted and the Bills were up 24-13. Dallas kicked a field goal early in the 4th quarter to make it a 24-16 game. The Bills had their chances to put this one away. We drove down to the 11 but Trent Edwards threw an interception. A field goal there would have made it an 11-point game again. Instead Dallas had new life. DiGiorgio came up with an interception on the Cowboys drive and the Bills could have sealed it again. Dallas ended up scoring a touchdown with 20 seconds left in the game to make it 24-22. They went for a two-point conversion to tie the game up. Jabari Greer came up with a huge play ripping the ball out of Terrell Owens hands in the endzone. All the Bills had to do now was cover the onside kick. Dallas made a great play on the onside kick and recovered the ball. The Cowboys kicked the game winning 53-yard field goal with no time left. Another heart breaking loss for the Bills. I just wish the offense could have stepped up a little bit and seal the win for the defense. The Bills defense played one of the best games that I have ever seen them play. Anytime you can force six turnovers, you should come out of the game victorious. Even though the team lost, I loved the effort against a real good Dallas team.
All I have to say is that we gave up this game. We should have won this one. It hurts that we had a dominating performance from our defense. Our special teams played great and just needed to recover the onside kick. This one will be hard to forget. Although I had a great time in Buffalo, I just wish the Bills had won. It was great being at the game with friends and enjoying every minute of Monday Night Football. Buffalo is a great place and I look forward to going back as I do every year. Lets Go Bills. Hopefully this was a breaking out game for our defense

Hello Bills fans. I just want to say congratulations to Jabari Greer for winning AFC defensive player of the week. He had a really good game against the Jets last week and with his interception and setup what would be the winning touchdown. This week the Bills secondary will be tested. They go up against a real good receiving corp. Dallas has Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd, and Jason Witten. Jabari Greer and Terrence McGee have their work cut out for them. It is also going to be extremely hard covering Witten. He is a favorite target of Tony Romo. I hope either Keith Ellison or Angelo Crowell can disrupt some over the middle passes to Witten. I’m curious to see the game plan that defensive coordinator Perry Fewell has in place. I think we should play aggressive and take some chances. Our defensive line has to stop the run and force Dallas into a lot of third and longs. It will be tough to do but this being our first Monday night game at home in 13 years, I’m sure the crowd will cause some false starts by the Cowboys offense. Donte Whitner also needs to have a big game this week. He will be switching back and forth during the game from strong to free safety. Hopefully Whitner can come up with an interception and breakup a few pass plays in this one. Lets go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. There is some potential great news for the Bills defense. Linebacker Keith Ellison practiced today and could be ready to go for Monday night’s game. It was said that Ellison did not experience any pain and was full go at practice. Ellison is a very good cover linebacker and it will only help the defense. I wish Posluszny didn’t get hurt because I really wanted to see him, Ellison, and Angelo Crowell on the field at the same time. Ellison had a high ankle sprain that has sidelined him for the first four games. It would be a big boost if he can go against Dallas. In other news, starting strong safety Donte Whitner is moving to free safety this week due to the injury to Jim Leonhard. Bryan Scott is starting at the strong safety position. He is better suited for that role. I feel Whitner will do a great job and will be excellent in supporting both Jabari Greer and Terrence McGee against the high-powered Cowboys offense. Defensive end Anthony Hargrove is eligible to return to the team this week. The Bills have yet added him to the 53-man roster. Look for that to happen in the next few days. I believe they have until Sunday to do so. I am happy that Hargrove is back. He brings energy to this team. It will also be good for our defensive end rotation. Having Hargrove spell both Schobel and Kelsay will make both stay fresh for the entire game. After the bye, defensive end Ryan Denney should be back. This will be yet another boost to our defensive line. Denney is just as good in my opinion as Kelsay. Can’t wait to finally get a little help on the defensive side. Go Bills and lets show the national audience what we are made of.

Hello Bills fans. After a great win yesterday, The Bills have lost a few more defensive players. Jim Leonhard injured his calf, Kevin Harrison injured his knee and Ashton Youboty injured his ankle. This has to stop soon. Leonhard was filling in for injured free safety Ko Simpson. The Bills will now have to turn to recently acquired Bryan Scott to fill in until Leonhard is ready to go. Harrison was just recently signed for linebacker depth and special teams. The Bills will now have to find someone to fill his role very soon. Ashton Youboty appeared be not as bad as the other two. Look for Jabari Greer to take over. Greer had a great game yesterday and looks like the Bills best cover corner. Greer has the speed and he takes chances. You need a corner that is not afraid to go for an interception. Its a shame that Leonhard got hurt. He showed some promise and was settling in nicely. I cannot believe that we are down to one starting linebacker and on our third free safety. Maybe the team will move Whitner over and start either converted wide receiver George Wilson or rookie John Wendling. I would love to see Wendling play. I say give Wendling a shot but Coach Jauron might choose the experience and go with Scott. The Bills secondary will have a tough task in front of them next Monday against the Cowboys. Lets go Bills. And please no more injuries. Can’t wait to go the Buffalo this weekend.

Hello Bills fans. The Bills have made a few roster moves today. They have placed backup offensive lineman Jason Whittle on injured reserve. To take Whittles place on the roster, linebacker Kevin Harrison was signed. Harrison spent most of last year on the practice squad. He was released during the final cuts in September. He will most likely play special teams because of the release of Josh Scobey. The Bills have also signed defensive tackle Orien Harris to the practice squad. To make room for him, they released offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill. Look for the Bills to add another offensive lineman to the roster. The only reserves we have healthy are Duke Preston and Kirk Chambers. I still can’t believe how many players we have put on IR this season. The list continues to grow. Whittle joins Ko Simpson, Jason Webster, Al Wallace, Paul Posluszny, Kevin Everett, and Aaron Merz. I can’t believe we are only going into week four. With all of the injuries we have, I would think it was the end of December. In other news it looks like newly signed linebacker Leon Joe will get the start on the outside. John DiGiorgio will take over the middle and Angelo Crowell will be on the other outside position. I don’t know about you but I cant wait for Keith Ellison to come back. He might be back for the Dallas game. He was jogging today in practice and hopefully he can be ready for next week. We could really use all the help we can get. Lets Go Bills

Hello Bills fans. This week is going to be an extremely tough game. The New England Patriots look just like the powerhouse everyone thought they would be. One thing I would love to see this weekend is both Aaron Schobel and Chris Kelsay sacking Tom Brady. Schobel has had great success against New England’s o-line and has sacked Brady over 10 times. If Schobel can get to Brady on Sunday and maybe force a fumble or a bad throw, I believe we will be in this game. I really want to see our young yet fast defense play a complete game. We need to attack right from the get go and show this New England team that we our no pushover. It really hurts that we have no depth at the defensive end position. Anthony Hargrove getting suspended really but a damper on what I thought would be a great backup pass rusher. He is due back week five and hopefully can contribute right away. He did look good in the pre-season and showed some flashes last year. Our linebackers also have to be flying all over the field this week. Posluszny, Crowell, and DiGiorgio have to tackle with force and get physical with this high-powered offense. Lets hope that defensive coordinator Perry Fewell has some tricks up his sleeve to create some turnovers. The Bills will need to get at least two or even three turnovers to be in this one. I beg you defense, please get pressure on Brady and get some three and outs. Our defense has been on the field way too long in both games and I would like to see our offense have some time consuming drives. Both will be extremely tough tasks against this team. Lets Go Bills and I will never stop billieving.

Hello Bills fans. This Sunday the Buffalo Bills travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers at Heinz Field. The game will be on directv channel 706 and in HD on channel 719. Here are the key matchups the Bills will need to win in order to come out of this game victorious.
Bills run defense vs. Willie Parker: The Bills will have a tough task ahead in stopping the speedy Willie Parker. Kyle Williams, Larry Tripplett, Aaron Schobel and Chris Kelsay need to hold Parker in check at the line of scrimmage. Parker is the type of back that can break one at anytime. The defense needs to slow him down and not allow any big plays. The Bills will also need their linebackers to have a big game. Angelo Crowell, Paul Posluszny and John DiGiorgio must fight off blocks and make tackles. Lets hope we can shut down the run this week.
Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes vs. Terrence McGee and Ashton Youboty: This weeks game will be a tough task for our secondary. Youboty is starting for the first time since being drafted last year. He came in last week when Jason Webster went down and played well. Both Youboty and McGee will be challenged all game by Ben Roethlisberger. I believe one will have an interception in this game. Holmes is a fast receiver and Ward is a savvy veteran who knows how to get open. He is also a very physical receiver. McGee will need to shut him down and hopefully we can get some turnovers.
J.P. Losman and Bills receivers vs. Pittsburgh’s Defense: J.P. in my opinion needs to have a big game this week. Last week he wasn’t able to get into a flow and missed on a long ball to Lee Evans that would have sealed the win for the Bills. Evans, Peerless Price, Roscoe Parrish and Josh Reed need to get open and find a way to keep the chains moving. Reed is questionable for tomorrow so if he doesn’t suit up watch Parrish have at least 6 catches. I would love to see Evans catch a bomb from Losman tomorrow. Please lets hit on a few homerun balls tomorrow.
Marshawn Lynch vs. Pittsburgh’s run defense: This is going to be a tough task for rookie Marshawn Lynch this week. Pittsburgh doesn’t allow 100 yard games. Their run defense is stingy and Lynch will have to fight for every yard he gets. Lynch really impressed me last week and I feel he will have another strong game this week. Look for Marshawn to get into the endzone against this defense. As long as the offensive line opens up some holes, Lynch will get his yards.
This is another tough game for the Bills. The Steelers looked really good last weekend and have a strong team on both sides of the ball. The Bills will have to play great special teams this week and try to win the field position battle. Last week special teams came up huge and almost helped us win the game. I would love to see Terrence McGee return a kick in this one. I also feel that the team will play with a heavy heart and win this one for Kevin Everett. My prediction…..Bills 20 Steelers 17
