Hail the UB Bulls
Now I know most of you out there are thinking, “Who are the UB Bulls and why am I reading about them a little more than a hour before the Bills kickoff against the Jaguars?”. The University at Buffalo Bulls are a D-I school in Western New York. Yesterday they won a thriller against MAC rival, the Temple Owls. Down by the score of 28-24, Senior QB Drew Willy dropped back and threw up a prayer into the endzone with no time remaining on the clock. WR Naaman Roosevelt had 4 defenders around him but went up and got the 35 yard pass for a touchdown and the WIN! The touchdown came after the Owls scored the then go ahead TD with only :38 on the clock. With the 30-28 win, UB improves to 2-1 (1-0) and picked up its first conference win. The play was nominated for the “Pontiac Game Changing Performance”. The winner gets $5,000 donated to its general scholarship fund, which would greatly help the program.
