Bills Quick Hits

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans.  Yesterday the Bills announced that offensive line coach Jim McNally has retired.  McNally is considered one of the best offensive line coaches in the history of the game.  He should be credited with successfully transitioning Jason Peters from tight end to offensive tackle.  The Bills now have two vacancies on their coaching staff.  The search for a new offensive coordinator is still underway.  It has been rumored that quarterbacks coach Turk Schonert will be promoted to the job.  Look for assistant offensive line coach Sean Kugler get the call to replace McNally.

On another note, offensive tackle Jason Peters will miss his first Pro Bowl due to a groin injury he suffered back on December 23rd.  It’s a shame that Peters wont be able to play because he has clearly deserved to be an all-star.  I’d rather see Peters sit out the Pro Bowl and get 100% healthy for next season.  Congrats again Jason.

I’m still curious as to whom the Bills will hire as their general manager.  I hope we get someone that has an eye for talent in both the draft and free agency.  I would think the Bills will make a decision shortly on who will lead the team.  Go Bills.
