billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans. This week the Miami Dolphins travel to Ralph Wilson stadium to take on the Buffalo Bills. This is a game Buffalo needs to win to stay in the playoff hunt. Although Miami is 0-12, they should not be overlooked. The Bills must play their game and control the ball. The forecast shows snow, which will make passing the ball very difficult. Marshawn Lynch is most likely going to play this week. He has been out the past three weeks with the ankle injury. Here are the key matchups to this week’s game.

Trent Edwards vs. Dolphins Defense: Edwards had a terrific game last week leading the Bills to a come from behind victory. If the weather is bad, look for Trent to throw to the underneath receivers. I’m counting on Josh Reed to have another big game. Lee Evans should be used more with quick slants and wide receiver screens. I have faith in Trent and now that he will help us win the time of possession battle.

Jason Peters vs. Jason Taylor: This is probably the most important matchup of the day. Taylor is still a dangerous pass rusher. Peters will need to keep him in check so Trent can have enough time to scan the field. Peters will do just fine and is always up for these types of challenges. I think the Dolphins will blitz a lot during this game because Trent is a rookie. The offensive line has been pass protecting well and will need to in this game.

Marshawn Lynch & Fred Jackson vs. Dolphins Defense: Look for Marshawn to get anywhere from 10-15 carries in this one. He and Jackson form quite a tandem and will be relied upon to lead us to victory. If the snow is heavy the Bills will be forced to run the ball. The line must open up some holes for our speedy and tough backs. I would love to see both guys get close to 100 yards each. Wouldn’t that be exciting?

With snow in the forecast, Coach Dick Jauron will be calling a lot of running plays. He does have a lot of confidence in Trent so I’m sure we will be passing the ball to our playmakers. Look for Lynch, Josh Reed, and Fred Jackson to have big games. My prediction…..Bills 26 Dolphins 13. Lets Go Buffalo.
