Bills Quick Hits

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans. There was a few roster moves made today at One Bills drive. Running back Anthony Thomas was placed on injured reserve. He is the thirteenth player to go on IR this season. Taking his place on the roster is linebacker Leon Joe. Joe rejoins the team after being released a few weeks ago. The Bills have also re-signed running back Shaud Williams and released tight end Brad Cieslak. Williams was released prior to the start of the season. Hopefully he can contribute on special teams. Coach Jauron is optimistic that Marshawn Lynch will be able to play this week. I would assume that he would not be getting a full workload. Look for Fred Jackson to get the majority of the carries this week. I like the idea of having Lynch and Jackson as a one two punch. We should hopefully be able to run the ball this Sunday. Lets Go Bills.

Lindell Gets Award

Hello Bills fans. After Sundays game I had a feeling that Rian Lindell would be named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week. His five field goals helped the Bills improve their record to 6-6. Lindell has been phenomenal this season and I am glad we gave him a contract extension before this season. It’s nice to know that we have a potential pro bowl kicker and a pro bowl punter on our roster. Congrats Rian. Lets Go Bills.

Offensive Line

Hello Bills fans. The offensive line is really starting to gel. Many people questioned when the Bills gave Derrick Dockery and Langston Walker monster deals this past off-season. Dockery was one of the best guards available and Walker was a good tackle on a bad offensive line. Both have drastically improved the Bills offensive line. Although the line needs to improve on their run blocking, pass protection has been great. This past Sunday they didn’t allow a sack and have protected rookie quarterback Trent Edwards well. Jason Peters is becoming a dominate left tackle and will be a Pro Bowler before we know it. First year starter Brad Butler has played well at the right guard position. Melvin Fowler is a bit undersized but makes up for it with good technique. This line is big and will improve further with more games played together. It’s exciting to see them develop chemistry and that is a major positive for the future of this team. All of the great teams in this league have excellent offensive lines. Hopefully we can keep these guys together and have them lead us to the promise land. I also hope that we can open up some holes this Sunday for Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. Go Bills. Let’s beat the Dolphins.
