Rookie QB Edwards to get first start
![]()
Hello Bills fans. This Sunday will be the first NFL start for rookie quarterback Trent Edwards. The Bills were extremely high on Edwards and it showed when they drafted him in the third round of this past year’s draft. Edwards was said to have all the skills but played on a bad team. I watched Edwards in the preseason and he looked great. He was a quick decision maker and made a bunch of really nice throws. This is an extremely tough situation that Edwards is in. The Bills go into this Sunday’s game against the Jets winless. The team is looking for Edwards to deliver a spark and drive the offense down the field. I hope Coach Dick Jauron lets the kid take some chances and try to get some big plays. He does have the arm to go deep and hopefully Lee Evans will be catching some long balls. I still feel that this is Losman’s team and that Edwards is just filling in until he gets back. Maybe Edwards is what this team needs. Maybe he will play great the next two weeks and Losman will be the backup. It’s hard to tell but I am hoping for the best. The late Bill Walsh told our general manager Marv Levy that we got ourselves a great quarterback. Lets see if Edwards can shine and get this team out of the funk that they are in. Get well soon J.P. Lets Go Bills. Lets Go Edwards. We need a win bad.
