Hello Bills fans. I was shocked to see the Bills release Craig Nall. Coach Jauron stated that the team will only have two quarterbacks on the roster. One will most likely be added to the practice squad before the season. As I stated before, the coaches were giving rookie Trent Edwards every shot to win the number two QB job behind starter J.P. Losman. Edwards looked great in preseason and that is what did in Nall. Edwards has tremendous upside and will push Losman on a weekly basis. It feels good that we have two good young QB’s on our roster. I believe Losman will have a great year and Edwards will learn a lot from him. Marv Levy and Co. are showing that they know how to draft. Five out of Seven draft picks made the roster. Seventh round pick tight end Derek Schouman was added to the practice squad. Our other seventh round draft choice, defensive end CJ Ah You, was released. Congrats to Trent Edwards and Lets Go Bills.

Coach Dick Jauron announced that Brad Butler will be the starting right guard. This is a suprise move because Butler has been hurt for most of camp. He did look good in last Thursdays preseason finale. The coaches have been high on Butler since he was drafted last year. He is a big guy with a mean streak and will hopefully allow us to get some big runs on the right side paired with Langston Walker. I for one thought the right guard spot would be given to Jason Whittle. Whittle has a lot of experience and also played for coach Jim Mcnally when both were with the Giants. Duke Preston has been given every chance to earn a starting spot but always seems to have breakdowns during the game. He started at center during the preseason and had a terrible shotgun snap. I guess Preston is suited for a backup role. I hope Butler plays well and will be a starter all season. Lets Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans. Starting weakside linebacker Keith Ellison is out indefinitely due to a high ankle sprain. This is a serious blow because Ellison showed last season that he has what it takes to be a big contributor for us on defense. Coy Wire will start in place of Ellison. Wire delivered some serious hits in the preseason but this will be his first start at the position. Wire is a converted safety but did play linebacker in college. Wire will do fine for us because he is a hard worker and a great athlete. Having Angelo Crowell out there will help both Wire and starting rookie linebacker Paul Posluszny. Lets hope the defense stays healthy from now to the start of the season. Go Bills.
