James Hardy

May 15, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fan.  A few days ago a story came out about James Hardy pulling a gun on his father.  A local newspaper in his hometown broke the news.  The first thing I thought was I cant believe he got into trouble already.  Hardy had ran into some trouble in college and many thought that was behind him.  Hardy stated that there was a misunderstanding and that basically nothing happened that was first reported.  Local police did not make any arrests and the situation didnt escalate.  Hardy came out with a statement apologizing to the Bills organization and Bills fans.  All I have to say is I hope Hardy learns to become a better person not only for the Bills sake but for himself.  The team really needs him to mature and help us get to the playoffs.  Lets hope Hardy will keep out of situations like this one and show the Bills the dominant player he can be.  Go Bills.

Kevin Everett

May 13, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Kevin Everett, NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  Today the team announced that Kevin Everett was placed on the waived/failed physical list.  This move allows Everett to get long term disability from the league.  This is a move the team had to make because it is in the best interest of Kevin.  He will now be eligible to receive money every year while he continues to recover from the spinal cord injury.  Its still amazing to me that Kevin is able to walk and will lead a normal life.  Good Luck Kevin.  We are all pulling for you.

Xavier Omon

May 12, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans.  I found this great article on espn.com about the life of new Bills running back Xavier Omon.  The article also lists what Omon was doing during the 2008 NFL Draft.  It also states how Omon had an extremely tough life and what he went through to get to this point.  He was awesome in Division II scoring and unbelieveable 92 touchdowns.  I really think he can be a great third string running back.  Go Bills.

Bruce Smith

May 11, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  Today the team announced that Bruce Smith will be the 25th name on the Bills Wall of Fame.  This is no suprise in that Bruce Smith was a major part of the great teams of the 90’s.  He was one of the best defensive ends to ever play the game.  Bruce was doubled teamed ever game and still finished his career with 200 sacks.  He was one of the most exciting defensive players ever to lace up the cleats and is a sure hall of famer.  Its great to see another fantastic player and person put on the Wall of Fame.  Congrats Bruuuuuce.  You deserve it.  Go Bills.

Bills Games In Toronto

May 08, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  Last week it was announced that the Bills organization will be paid 78 million over the five years it will play one regular season game each year and one preseason game every other year in Toronto.  There was an article today on nfl.com that stated ticket prices at the Rogers Centre triple the amount it costs for a game at Ralph Wilson Stadium.  The average ticket will go for $183 dollars compared to just $51 in Buffalo.  There has been a huge demand for tickets to see the Bills play in Toronto.  I guess this is good because the organization can make money which will help keep the team in Buffalo.  The only thing I am scared about is that when this five year deal is up, I hope the team does not move there permanently.  Go Bills.

Bills Season Tickets

May 07, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  The Buffalo Bills have announced that they have sold almost 49,000 season tickets for the 2008 season.  This is the most they have sold since 1993.  Its amazing that this year is the highest being that one home game is being played in Toronto.  Many so-called experts feel that this team is on the rise and the fans feel the same way.  It also holds well for the future of the team in Western New York if the team can sell that many season tickets.  I can’t wait to go to a game this year.  I would love to purchase season tickets but living here on Long Island makes that difficult.  I will most likely be going to two games this year.  I’m definitely going to be at the Monday Night game against the Browns and might make the trip up for the home opener against Seattle.  Go Bills.

Hello Bills fans.  I just wanted to give a shout out to the bloggers on talleywhackers.  I enjoyed reading your blogs and hope to talk to you guys about the Bills.  I hope you guys are as excited as I am about the 2008 season.  I feel that we have improved our team tremendously since last season.  Lets hope Trent Edwards can lead this team to the playoffs.  Go Bills.

Extending Contracts of Core Players

May 06, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Lee Evans, Paul Posluszny, Angelo Crowell, NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

billslogo.jpgHello Bills fans.  As the 2008 season approaches, I would love for the Bills to extend the contracts of both Lee Evans and Angelo Crowell.  Evans is going to command big money and both he and the Bills know that.  There were plenty of receivers this past free agency that cashed in.  Both Bernard Berrian and Javon Walker received monster deals by the Vikings and Raiders.  In my opinion, Evans is better than both of those guys and should get a salary between 7-10 million a season.  The Cardinals gave Larry Fitzgerald 10+ a year for four years with 30 million guaranteed.  I would like to see the Bills sign Evans long term because he is a game changer.  Linebacker Angelo Crowell could also get big money if he hits the open market.  He is coming into the prime of his career just Evans.  I would love to see the Bills keep Crowell because with Paul Posluszny and Kawika Mitchell, I feel we have one of the best linebacking corps in the league.  Lets hope our front office can get both Evans and Crowell locked up long term before they hit the free agent market.  Go Bills.

Donte Whitner Comments on James Hardy

May 05, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: Josh Reed, Donte Whitner, Roscoe Parrish, Lee Evans, AFC East, NFL, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  There is a great article on buffalobills.com about when Donte Whitner was in college at Ohio State, they had to specifically game plan for James Hardy.  Whitner goes on to say that Hardy will make some noise this coming season.  He states that he was one of the few receivers in college that demanded great attention.  I feel that Hardy is going to help our offense out tremendously.  He is going to open things up for Lee Evans on the other side and get Roscoe Parrish and Josh Reed more opportunities out of the slot position.  The Bills will use Hardy size on a weekly basis especially in the red-zone.  I cant wait to see this guy in action.  Go Bills.

Bills Rookie Minicamp

May 01, 2008 By: billy5407 Category: NFL, AFC East, Buffalo Bills

Hello Bills fans.  This weekend the Bills will hold a minicamp for all drafted and undrafted rookies.  Im very excited to see some video highlights of our draft choices.  The Bills have only announced one rookie free agent signing but there should be a few more that are in attendance.  The team also announced that they have claimed quarterback Matt Baker off of waivers from Miami.  Baker is most likely fighting for the third string job.  Im really looking forward to seeing both Leodis McKelvin and James Hardy.  I cant believe our first minicamp is this weekend.  Go Bills.
